Climbing Mt. Fuji

I climbed Mt. Fuji for the second time in August 2007.

At the gate of Fuji Sengen Shrine on August 6. I was overwhelmed by the roof tiles. It is one of the two finest gates. The other one is the gate of Itsukushima Shrine.

We passed the 3,000-meter point. We arrived at the mountain hut, Taishikan. We had supper and took a nap before resuming the climb at midnight.

Is the world for us two? No, no. Lots of other climbers were behind us. On the day, the number of climber of the season reached 10,000.

Rising sun 3 It was so clear that day that we were able to see Enoshima and Izu Oshima Island in the far distance.
The temperature at the summit was 4 degrees Celsius. It was quite cold.
