In May 2008, the 4th International Conference on African Development (TICAD IV) will be held in Yokohama. It is an international conference with the theme of African development, held collaboratively by Japan, the United Nations (UNDP, OSAA), Global Coalition for Africa, and World Bank. The 4th Conference will have sessions for the support of the acceleration of the African economy, human security and environmental measures, under the theme “Towards a Vibrant Africa”.
